Our humble beginnings date back to 1939, when a young, independent, 25 year old Katy Griggs had a big dream and started her little “chile joint”. With four tables, dirt floors, no running water and her mother cooking in the kitchen – the famed La Posta de Mesilla was born! 75 years later, La Posta has become a legendary icon in the Mesilla Valley and our Land of Enchantment and is also renown throughout the country and across borders. Our success is firmly rooted in our philosophy of “giving back” to the very community who has nurtured and sustained our growth over these many years. For that we simply say, “Mil Gracias!”
