Juanita was born March 27, 1924 and worked at La Posta de Mesilla for decades. She was a devoted and beloved member of our family whose pleasant and caring demeanor touched everyone she worked with. Her beautiful smile could be found on any given day greeting her customers as she prepared her delicous empanadas and desserts! Her family said that her life centered around two things, her job and her family.

Juanita passed in January of 2004 but her legacy here lives on. She was happiest, we are told, when she was tending her plants, spending time with her family, and when she was working at La Posta.

We were so fortunate to have had her beauty and culinary creativity at work here at La Posta for so long and she will be dearly missed. Vaya Con Dios, Juanita!
