Fountain Theatre

The Fountain Theatre has entertained residents and guests alike since 1905, when Albert Fountain Jr., the son of the famed Colonel Albert Jennings Fountain, began producing plays, vaudeville, light opera and lantern slide shows. Parts of this single screen, two story, historic adobe landmark date back to 1870.

Today, the Fountain Theatre seats approximately 100 guests with a combination of tables, chairs and theatre seating. Films can be viewed seven days a week with matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Please visit http://www.mesillavalleyfilm.org to view the movie schedule.

The Theatre can also be rented during weekdays for business meetings, conferences, seminars, retreats and other activities. With the Theatre’s proximity to La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant and Cantina, activities utilizing both facilities can be scheduled to include beverage, bar and food service.

Please contact Theresa or Jeannie at 575-524-3524 at La Posta de Mesilla to reserve the Theatre and/or schedule an event utilizing both the Theatre and dining areas/meeting space in La Posta.
